There are 22,000 ICE agents, and there were 94,000 polling stations in the 2022 midterms. (Down from 200,000 in 2018 but that’s another whole mess) so at this rate they will have exactly ONE agent in every 4th polling station or so.

      We can take 'em.

Every accusation is a confession from these fuckers. Everyone should know that by now and everyone should take this very seriously.

They don’t even need to do a single thing other than stand there, and that would still be stealing the election by instilling fear into people and causing some to decide not to vote.

        It won’t matter.

We can see by the elections that have taken place so far in 2025 and 2026 that they’ve angered enough Republican voters to kill their chances, whether those people flipped to Democrat or opted to stay home. Dems have flipped something like two dozen districts in the last year, several of which Donald won by double digits in 2024.

Doesn’t mean they won’t try. It is likely they can’t ascertain the scope of how badly they’ve pissed off their own voters though. This is likely to do with the fact that Donald and his inner circle can’t be bothered to take a sobering look at their own internal polling data.

If Republicans can’t rely on the states that voted red in 2024, and they evidently cannot, they can’t adequately strategize in the way Bannon is describing.

And if Republicans opt to escalate their aggression even more, it just pisses off more voters.

I think it far more likely Donald tries to do something on affordability that he can brand with his name before the election. He’ll gladly add another trillion to the national debt and send checks to voters if he thinks it’ll let him grift a few more billion while he’s still able to put two words together.

            I don’t think that’s accurate.

There was a significant portion of the Democratic base that was dissatisfied with Biden/Harris and made it abundantly clear. Remember when Obama was dispatched to campaign events to lecture young black men? Or when Clinton was dispatched to campaign events to lecture angry Palestinian Americans?

Also, it was a sore point with many voters that Biden was nominated even though the entire Democratic Party seemingly knew he had dementia.

For my part, I think the idea that ‘everyone’ thought Donald couldn’t be re-elected was just because so many consume information only from their algorithm on these shitty corporate platforms like FB/TikTok/Twitter. That algorithm will figure out what you want to see and then construct a reality for you around it, so maybe you saw that Harris was unbeatable.

For my part, I predicted she’d lose. She ran a campaign that was basically opposite that of Mamdani, so it wasn’t hard to tell. You can’t tell people who are living in storage units and working three jobs just to afford groceries that you won’t change anything and expect to win. To become president you have to be the candidate of change. In 2024 (even though he was lying about everything) that candidate was Donald.

Unfortunately, most of the polling places in my state (and probably many others) are conveniently located at schools, libraries, or other government buildings which have long since been declared Gun Free Zones.

You’d get arrested just for showing up. Otherwise you’d all have to mill around outside the property line which in most cases would be quite some distance away, where you can be safely ignored and/or not be able to see anything that may be going down inside anyway. And the “gun free zones” around schools specifically here extend for quite some distance away from the school property itself, IIRC several hundred yards.

I think a fair number of folks would be alright with local parents bringing their guns to their kid’s school, if it keeps children from being snatched by masked men in vans.

Armed checkpoints might also work against ICE traffickers getting to the voting stations. Masked, wrong plates, or not part of the security force? Citizen’s arrest.

The vanguard who doesn’t have to fear ICE can go vote in the morning then just start gathering next to wherever they’re hanging out. By midday the concept of anyone being stopped by the voting station will look infeasible.

Also, wherever MAGA is not firmly in control, protect vote by mail and early voting. And make sure people send their votes early enough to avoid postal manipulation.

If you think you’re going to get anyone who’s just been kidnapped out of the back of the black SUV, you’re going to need to turn up with more guys than they’ve got at minimum, and very quickly.

This is something that literally happened during the BLM protests and against the SWAT-like CBP BORTAC units that one of the shooter was a part of. He might have been there.

Alex was killed in a 8 on 2 with little potential for external threat and every nearby actor well recognized. Turn that into an 8 on 50 with enough people that the perpetrator is hard to identify and the threat charges. Handguns aren’t magic and if they escalate against random crowd members and don’t immediately control the scene (something they can’t be guaranteed happens) they can’t be sure they come out of that alive. If they do they may have just started the revolution and their fun cosplay power trip job turns into hoping they don’t catch a sniper shot during patrols.

Unarresting is risky as hell even without the threat of gunfire, it literally involves performing a felony, but if they’re attacking people at polling stations things are serious enough for people to not just continually back down.

If I was a governor, and I heard that ICE was on its way, I’d station Troopers at every border crossing into my state, and pull over every ICE vehicle that crosses. Record their IDs, photograph their faces, search their vehicles, etc., and hang them up for a while, and let them know they will not be having a good time in the state.

And let every hotel, restaurant, and business know that anyone who serves ICE will not be getting any future business from the state.

More than that, give tickets and fines to companies doing business or sharing intelligence with them.

Identifying the Ice members and publicizing the information is a great idea, preferably after making it a law for all officers to not wear masks or hide their identities and to identify themselves as they work and not go around like a group of cartel members.

The administration will call it doxxing, but it’s reasonable for police to show their faces and be accountable for their behavior, the only reason they are disguising it is to prevent them from being held accountable for their behavior. So an abuse that was committed cannot even be pinned on a team of officers as leadership of ICE obscures their identities.

It won’t be long before we get more private groups of criminals, cartels, to pretend like they are ICE to murder and kidnap, and people won’t know if they can defend themselves without getting murdered and then tarred as a terrorist, not knowing if it’s federal agents (breaking the law, which you have a legal right to defend from I don’t care what anyone says, it matters what a jury says and they would mostly agree, a badge does not give you the right to execute people without cause.)

The nation voted to deport illegals, it didn’t vote to turn Ice into an extrajudicial paramilitary force accountable only to the president with a 200 billion dollar budget. They didn’t vote to cancel the Bill of Rights, like the 4th amendment. They also didn’t vote to deport the accused to foreign concentration camp prisons for life, or deport them to the shittiest countries they had never been to, just out of mean spiritedness. We’ve enough money to give ICE more than any military in the world outside of ours and china’s, but not enough to honorably deal with illegal immigrants?

The administration wants to make precedents on this issue, they have the most support on it, to use later in stealing elections and crushing dissent. To nurture federal dickheads they can cherry pick for special units, and otherwise radicalize their federal agents and base with their Fox News bullshit and lies to fool their part of the population into not realizing they are trying to kill the republic and take what little working people have.

ICE uses lots of civilian vehicles. If you want a hard border that checks every vehicle, I don’t know if state troopers have the manpower to do that for an extended amount of time. This is also legally difficult territory. What should state troopers do if ICE doesn’t comply? Do you believe four troopers at a checkpoint will risk a shootout with a dozen armed ICE agents?

By this standard of letting Ice summarily execute state residents under false pretense and not charging them in state law, Ice could execute a Governor, a prosecutor, a mayor, under false pretense, and only answer to the feds.

This is a must, the State needs to file charges for Ms. Good and Mr. Pretti. This is non negotiable, and if prosecutors are too cowardly to do it they need to be immediately recalled and replaced with someone that will cover the citizens of the Great State of Minnesota with the Shield of American Law.

I haven’t seen that the officers were identified in Prettis murder. I’d be nervous to charge a federal officer who will have federal defense attorneys on video evidence alone when the fed has everything else I need. But I’m not a lawyer. I was just saying they clearly would like to press charges from what I’ve seen. I think they will, but are trying to make sure they don’t get screwed in court first. They have open lawsuits to ensure evidence doesn’t get destroyed by the fed. Why would they do that with no intent to charge?

NYTimes identified them I believe, both hispanic names at that.

And if the state didn’t id them, they aren’t trying, don’t let them fool you. They have all the facial recognition, a lot of information systems at their disposal. The fact that they haven’t means that the state prosecutors are declining to do their duty and protect their own citizens from he government, a trait they were all chosen for in fact.

All government officials back each other up by default, democrat, republican. If a cop or prosecutor cheats you, they will cover for them if possible. By default. Anyone not realizing that has lived a sheltered life and may be in for some rude surprises this next decade.

This new dynamic where the local law enforcement aren’t on the same side as the federal law enforcement cheating their citizens must have these officials thrown for a loop. They are in the old boy club, they joined to beat up undesirables, not to defend people from those that can fight back. Time to resign in disgrace.

Let’s go REAL old school on the political shit-flinging and see how under that gross pigs skin we can get.

Oh wow you’re going to show them when they dump your ballots somewhere and your principled vote is irrelevant!

NGL, that’s kinda why I registered Republican. At our local city level, there were some really decent Republican candidates, so to make sure they got on the ballots in the primaries, I chose that… but at the state and federal, I generally just vote Democratic. Best to try and maintain a balance of candidates so you don’t pitch too far one way or the other. It also helps mitigate the damage done by the sheer number of Libertarians that fuck so many policy results up. Our state’s infested with those morons.
